For those of you looking for a new 3D design tool for the iPad, a company called MediaUtopia has just put one out called Sage. Sage allows users to intuitively design and edit 3D models via the touchscreen interface of the iPad. Once a model is created to a user's liking they have the option to have it 3D printed for a fee via Sage's partnership with iMaterialise.

The company MediaUtopa has just launched Sage, an intuitive 3D modelling and printing App for the iPad. ... By adjusting the curvature of the sides on the simple touchscreen interface, you can form a unique 3D object, just as you would do on a potter’s wheel or lathe.

Sage aims to take simplicity of input for creating models to 3D print to the next level using a simple two stage construction: first form the form in Shape mode; then add the textures in Surface mode.
